This Saturday night, November 8, marks the return of Grant Park’s annual costume party…The Mothball! All proceeds benefit the Grant Park Neighborhood Association which uses the money to support the Grant Park Farmer’s Market, improve neighborhood infrastructure, reduce crime and fund grants for the neighborhood charter school. This year’s theme is Speakeasy and it will take place at the Grant Park Rec Center; tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door. All of the VIP tables are SOLD OUT so it should be a packed house with lots of mystery around the Password to the downstairs bar that changes throughout the evening. Music is provided by Bogey & the Viceroy and there will be prizes for best costume, best table decoration, the Charleston dance-off and of course the crowning of Miss Mothball.
Grant Park is the perfect neighborhood for a Speakeasy event with its turn-of-the century cottages and bungalows. If you would like to see what is on the market in Grant Park, take a look and let me know how I can help you become a part of this wonderful neighborhood. Enjoy the Mothball and support GPNA and GPSP.
