Through a lot of work with Mayor Kasim Reed, City of Atlanta Parks and Commissioner Amy Phuong plus fund raising in the community through membership donations, the Grant Park Conservancy and the neighborhood are now witnessing the fruits of their labor. New environmentally friendly LED lights are officially on in Grant Park. This is an improvement that I personally am very excited about as it will further promote safety and visibility in previously poorly lit areas throughout the park. This is just phase one and the Conservancy needs more membership donations to continue this initiative to light up Grant Park. The donations are tax deductible and are a heck of a way to give back to the neighborhood that so many of us love. There are so many other great things happening here in GP: improvements to Zoo Atlanta, new homes being built, new retail moving in to some older buildings that needed improvement…the list goes on and on.

I am so proud to be a part of another initiative to revive the Grant PGP Lightsark Neighborhood Watch which had it’s first meeting last Saturday morning with a very solid turn out. When you live in a neighborhood like this with so many amenities and things to take pride in, we all have to pull our weight to make sure we continue to move in a positive direction of smart growth. I can’t wait to see what happens in 2015 and am always here to help with your real estate needs in and around Grant Park.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!
