Capitol View Manor is an older, smaller community located in southwest Atlanta. It was developed by the same developer of the Virginia Highland and Morningside neighborhoods. Most of the homes were built between the 1920’s and the 1940’s. There is a nice mix of Bungalows, Victorians, Cape Cods, and Colonials with plenty of 1950’s ranch style homes as well. There are lovely parks, including the nearby Perkerson Park with a playground, ball fields, basketball courts and lovely pavilion. This neighborhood fell into decline in the mid-1900’s but with it lying just south of the Beltline and it’s historic homes sitting on large yards, this community is prime for a comeback and has seen incredible improvements in recents years.
